Summer invites us to slow down, gather together, and savor the simple things. The Slowed Down Summer Swap is an afternoon dedicated to sharing the foods, traditions, and handmade treasures that make this season special.

Each guest is invited to bring 12 handmade, homemade, or homegrown items to contribute to the swap. Contributions might include baked goods, jams and preserves, fresh produce, herbs, flowers, spice blends, hand-sewn kitchen towels, crocheted dishcloths, potholders, recipe cards, beeswax wraps, or other creations inspired by the kitchen, garden, and home.

Together, we'll gather around our Prepared Table and enjoy a shared tasting and swapping experience. Each guest will have the opportunity to tell the story behind what they brought, where it came from, how it was made, or why it holds special meaning.

Each guest will bring 12 items to contribute to the swap and will leave with one item from each participant. By the end of the afternoon, you'll head home with a thoughtfully curated assortment of handmade, homemade, and homegrown treasures from fellow members of the community.

What to Bring

• 12 handmade, homemade, or homegrown items for the swap
• A basket, market bag, or tote to display your items and carry home your new treasures
• A willingness to share the story behind your contribution

Event Includes

• Name cards highlighting each item and its story
• A $20 Prepared Table gift card for future classes, workshops, or purchases
• Seasonal refreshments provided by The Prepared Table, including 
  • Peach Ricotta Crostini with Hot Honey,
  • Watermelon & Feta Skewers,
  • Deviled Eggs, and
  • Cucumber Mint Lemonade

More than a class, this is an afternoon of connection, conversation, and inspiration. Come ready to share, taste, listen, and learn from one another.

All reservations for our classes are non-refundable, however, they are transferable to another guest. In the event you are unable to attend a class, please call the shop at your earliest convenience and provide the name you are transferring your reservation to. If you are unable to find a replacement and there is a waitlist for the class, we will do our best to fill your spot. If we are successful, we will apply your fee to a future class.
